Choosing the Perfect Meghan Markle Wedding Dress

My goal in sharing the Markle wedding dress video was to let my wife know how much she meant to me when I got engaged. I am a very lucky man and it took me almost 20 years to realize my dream. It has been wonderful and extremely difficult to keep my excitement for my new wife’s unique dream. She is truly the woman I’ve wanted to spend my life with and I couldn’t imagine not being with her for the rest of my days. Her beauty, talent and passion for life are undeniable and she has brought so much happiness to my life. We are so fortunate to have her in our lives.

It’s been an emotional roller coaster trying to find the right dress to fit our big day. As I watched the video of the Markle wedding dress presentation, it just kept getting better. We had done some extensive searching online and had a few suggestions that stuck out to us. But in the end, we chose one that represented who she is, the person we wanted to show on our day and was affordable.

The problem was choosing the color. The room we were planning on using for the reception was a pretty, pastel color, and seemed like it would really tie everything together. It didn’t. In fact, it looked sort of silly and created a very casual look.

We were thrilled to find a bridal gown that would make our day one we will always remember. The reception was just as important as the wedding dress, however. We knew we were paying a lot of money for our day and we wanted it to look like a million dollars. We were going to have pictures taken with every member of the family and a video made of the entire event. We wanted people to be blown away by how beautiful we looked and how well the reception went. Everything had to be perfect.

Entering our home after checking out the reception venue was a little overwhelming. There were too many choices! I hadn’t even bothered to check out all the websites for custom designed wedding dresses that our local store offered, because I was so focused on what we needed and really couldn’t wait to get it.

It was only once we were at the store that I realized how big of a deal this was becoming. There were so many things to choose from that it was hard to narrow it down to one dress. What made the biggest difference, though, was when the clerk told us that it wasn’t possible for us to choose a dress because we had already chosen the invitation cards.

It wasn’t until we got home that afternoon that I started to realize just how important choosing the right one really was. We had spent so much time and money on the invitation cards, the thank you cards, the food, the decorations, etc. that this would be a day that was meant to be perfect in every way for the Markle family.

The same thing happened when choosing a wedding dress for our daughter-in-law. When the clerk was telling us that it was impossible for us to choose a dress, I thought about what our style was and how special our daughter-in-law was going to look on the day. I can’t tell you how helpful this information would have been. Having our daughter-in-law look gorgeous on her special day was one of the most important things to us. As far as our budget goes, picking out a Markle wedding dress wouldn’t have been nearly as difficult as it was for us.
